Introduction
Features
Do I need a Nuki subscription to use the integration with Anywhere?
Yes. To automatically generate access codes via the Nuki API as part of Anywhere’s Online Check-in, you must have an active Nuki Smart Hosting subscription for each lock. This subscription, offered by Nuki, costs €69 per year per lock and allows the Online Check-in to communicate with the lock, create, modify, and deactivate access codes based on bookings. Anywhere does not charge any additional fees for this integration: only the subscription costs required by Nuki apply.
Are access codes automatically deactivated at the end of the stay?
Yes. Access codes generated via Nuki are automatically deactivated at the end of the stay, according to the rules defined in Anywhere. The code is valid only for the authorized period (for example, until the scheduled checkout time) and becomes invalid once this period expires. This ensures maximum security, without any manual action required from the property manager, and prevents unauthorized access after the guest’s departure.
Can I choose when the access code becomes visible to the guest (e.g. D-1, D-2)?
Yes. Anywhere allows you to precisely define when the access code becomes visible to the guest during Online Check-in. For example, you can choose to display the code one or two days before arrival, or at any other time you consider appropriate. This feature gives you full control over access communication, helps anticipate arrivals, and provides a smooth and secure experience from one guest to another.
Can I add instructions or images before displaying the access code?
Yes. Anywhere allows you to add explanatory text and images before displaying the Nuki access code during Online Check-in. This is especially useful to guide guests by providing building access codes, entry instructions, or a visual walkthrough before revealing the apartment code. This feature improves access clarity and ensures a smoother, fully autonomous arrival experience for guests.
What happens if a booking is modified (dates or times)?
If a booking is modified, Anywhere automatically updates the associated Nuki access settings. The validity dates and times of the access code are adjusted based on the updated stay information, with no manual intervention required from the property manager. This ensures the guest always has valid and secure access, perfectly aligned with the actual booking conditions.
What happens if a booking is cancelled?
If a booking is cancelled, the associated Nuki access is automatically deactivated. The access code generated for the stay becomes immediately invalid, preventing any access to the property. This process is fully automated by Anywhere, with no manual action required from the property manager, and ensures maximum security in the event of a cancellation.
What are the advantages of Nuki compared to traditional key handover?
Nuki offers many advantages over traditional key handover. It enables fully automated access management, without physical meetings, delays, or logistical constraints. Access codes are temporary, secure, and automatically deactivated at the end of the stay. Combined with Anywhere’s Online Check-in, Nuki significantly reduces manual operations, minimizes errors, enhances security, and provides a smooth, self-service arrival experience for guests, while saving valuable time for property managers.
